Just a few kilometers from Casale Sterpeti is the village of Magliano in Tuscany, famous for its city walls dating back to 1400 and from which you can enjoy a splendid view over the countryside to the sea and the island of Giglio. Worth a visit are the two churches of San Martino, dating back to 1400, and Santissima Annunziata, famous for its frescoes dating back to 1500. Just outside the town are the remains of the monastery of San Bruzio, dating back to 1000.

Magliano in Toscana is also famous for its numerous restaurants that wind through the streets of the historic center, which are always busy, especially in spring and summer. It is very pleasant to dine “al fresco” in the evening, sitting at outdoor tables and watching the tourists strolling by.

At Casale Sterpeti we are happy to recommend special places, selected eateries where you can dine or where you can enjoy what we believe Tuscany is all about.
